Ichiro Mizuki sama also known as Aniki have been around the anisong scene for the last 40 years, also earning the title of being the most popular Japanese in the world and we kind of figured out how he is able to achive all that, in 1 interview, a few concerts and listening to his songs.
Yes, we got to interview Aniki this year. And sorry to disappoint but, this post does not feature the content of the interview.
So what does it feature? Read on.
A behind the scenes look into Aniki’s interview. This is a rare chance of cos, thank you, the people at reddawn and AFA09 organisers!
As you can see the interview is not done by me… I’m sort of the producer for this session of interview, the person who did the interview is Marcus aka Teokees. And I must say, he did quite a good job on asking the questions. Although there is a few NGs, but since when are there no NGs in a video?
Aniki and his personal assistance, provide much help to us, giving us advises on how to structure the question for a smoother interview. They have also calm our nervous soul when we entered the room, and mostly teokees’s when he is giving the interview. I’m sure it will be an unforgettable experience for him.
After all, he is interviewing an idol of his. XD
Some NGs includes Teokees forgetting to pass the microphone over to Aniki… XD. And you should see us, including the Aniki’s personal assistance, signalling to Teokees, to point the microphone at Aniki.
Regarding Aniki’s personal assistance, I find him the coolest PA I have ever met! He happily volunteered to help us translate our questions and Aniki’s words of wisdom. He even helpped by holding onto Teokee’s script, which he later said the Japanese on it is of great help to him understanding the question, hey even Aniki praised Teokees for a job well done. *note: you should look at Teokee’s face… T0T*
Having met him last year before, he sure is an unforgettable figure. Are the people around Aniki always so cool?
Either way, we have managed to complete the interview successfully. YaY!
We even gave Aniki a card to convey to him our appreciation and happiness of him choosing to come to Singapore again. He look delighted!
Pointing to the writing of the card, he said something… What did he say…? Stay tune to our video soon!
